Man arrested in connection to Carbondale shooting that injured 4
A man was arrested on Thursday afternoon, April 25, in connection to a shooting that injured four people.

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - A man was arrested on Thursday afternoon, April 25, in connection to a shooting that injured four people.

Jody Pullen, Jr., 27, of Carbondale, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated battery with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say he was arrested around 2 p.m. in the 400 block of Small Street in Harrisburg. He is currently being held at the Saline County Jail.

“Our officers and our investigators have done a tremendous job resolving a traumatic and senseless incident.," Police Chief Jeff Grubbs said. "One part of that was identifying and removing this violent offender from the community. I appreciate the assistance of the public in furthering the efforts of our officers as we continue on with this investigation.”

On April 12, officers responded to the shooting on the 100 block of North Washington Street at 10 p.m.

Three victims were found with gunshot wounds at the scene and a fourth victim was already at the hospital.

Pullen was identified as a suspect.

Witnesses say they heard gunshots in the area around ABC Liquor Mart on Washington Street.

The Carbondale Police Department was assisted by the Illinois State Police, the Harrisburg Police Department and the United States Marshals Service during the arrest.

The investigation is ongoing.
