Man get life sentence in murder

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A man was sentenced on Tuesday, May 14 in the death of woman and her unborn child in 2015.

He was sentenced to “natural life” on both counts of murder and intentional homicide.

According to the Saline County State’s Attorney Molly Kaisar, Rodney E. Black was convicted on April 11, 2019 of first-degree murder and intentional homicide of an unborn child. He was originally charged with three counts each.

This conviction stems from the death of Latisha Reidelberger and her unborn child on April 17, 2015, according to Kaisar.

Kaisar said the case was tried by Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Olson and herself during a four-day trial before a Saline County jury.
