***FIRST ALERT ACTION DAY SATURDAY FOR FLOODING AND SEVERE WEATHER***
Good Friday Evening Heartland. We are seeing cloudy and cool conditions across the area. Light rain has been falling off and on throughout the day. This will continue as a warm front moves through the Heartland overnight. Temperatures will slowly begin to rise after sunset and continue to rise through midday tomorrow.
Saturday we will see partly to mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms likely. It appears we will have two rounds of storms. One round will move through during the early morning hours producing very heavy rainfall, especially across western Kentucky. The second round of storms will develop during the early afternoon hours in our western counties and sweep east across the Heartland, exiting the area by the early evening hours. These storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes. Highs tomorrow will reach the lower 60s north to near 70 far south.
