Tonight will be mostly clear, cold and frosty. Daybreak lows in the 20s. Winds NW 5-10 decreasing.
Cold and frosty start to Monday, then mostly sunny and not as breezy. Highs in the middle 40s to middle 50s. Winds SE 5-10.
Monday night and Tuesday will be Clear to partly cloudy and a bit warmer. Lows near freezing then highs in the 50s.
There will be a drying period with no chance of significant rainfall until Friday.
The U.S. 51 Ohio River “Cairo” Bridge will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 due to rising floodwaters.
The City of Paducah, Ky. will install additional floodgates on Monday, Feb. 25.
According to NOAA, the Ohio River is expected to crest in Paducah on March 2 at 53.5 feet and in Cairo on March 2 at 56.5 feet.
Massac County Emergency Management issued a state of emergency on Saturday, Feb. 23 due to flooding.
The mayor and city of Hickman, Ky. issued a state of emergency on Wednesday after a landslide and the Fulton County, Ky. judge issued a state of emergency on Thursday in response to heavy rains and flooding issues.
The City of Brookport erected the first floodgate on Unionville Road at on Saturday, Feb. 23.
