3 injured in multi-vehicle crash involving an ambulance

Ambulance involved in 3-vehicle crash in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - An ambulance was involved in a head-on crash in McCracken County, Kentucky on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, a car exiting a private driveway on the 100 block of Husband Rd. was making a left hand turn and entered into the path of an oncoming SUV.

The SUV skidded after being hit and entered into the path of an oncoming Mercy Regional Ambulance.

Investigators say the SUV then collided head-on into the ambulance.

The driver of the SUV, Tabetha Thompson of Paducah, and two Mercy Ambulance workers were transported to an area hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

The driver of the car, Heather Thompson of Grand Rivers, was not injured in the crash.

Husband Rd. was closed for about 45 minutes in order for crews to clean-up and deputies to investigate the crash.

Mercy Regional Ambulance, Reidland-Farley Fire Department, Stinnett’s Towing and Speedy’s Towing assisted the McCracken county Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
