Fire crews respond to crane fire on Paducah riverfront

PADUACH, KY (KFVS) - The Paducah Fire Department responded to a crane fire Friday morning, Feb. 8 on the riverfront.

The call came in around 11:15 a.m. taht the Port Authority’s Linden Comansa tower crane on was fire.

No one was injured in the fire, according to the Paducah-McCracken Co. Riverport Authority.

The fire started in the cab of the crane in the heating unit, according to the City of Paducah.

One operator was in the crane at the time. He noticed the heating unit smoking and got out of the cab safely.

The fire was put out within a few minutes.
