Early morning fire destroys Scott City home

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - An early morning fire has destroyed a Scott City, Missouri home on Saturday, Jan. 19.

According to Scott City Fire Department, firefighter arrived at a home with heavy fire damage around 4:00 a.m. Aid was request from Cape Girardeau Fire Department and NBC Fire Protection.

Two people in the home were able to get out unharmed.

A fire hydrant first used did not have enough water to fight the flames and a second alarm was issued. Gordonville Fire Protection and Chaffee Fire Department also responded and a tankers were requested from Gordonville, NBC, Delta and Scott County to fire the flames.

The added tankers and personnel were able to put of the flames.
