DONIPHAN, MO (KFVS) - A hospital in Ripley County, Missouri will change operators and that could leave people searching for some medical services.

The Southeast Health Center in Doniphan will stop in-patient operations on Oct. 15 according to a release from Southeast Health.

Southeast staff said they will still provide outpatient services until Nov. 30.

After that, Missouri Highland Health Center plans to take over running all clinic operations on Dec. 1, but it’s unclear what services they’ll be able to provide when they take over.

One caregiver worries about her patients

“My clients struggle with finding doctors anyway, you know and a lot of them have to travel out of town and it’s just a big ordeal," Caregiver Tasha Parker said. "To have the hospital here for like lab work and stuff like that makes it a lot easier for them, and now that they’re not going to have that option ... I have several clients that don’t know what they are going to do.”

Missouri Highland Health Center is working on a feasibility study to figure out what services they will offer when they take over.
