Large street fight broken-up overnight

The call of a large street fight came in to the Ava police department around 11 Monday night. Allegedly, people were using ball bats and pipes to beat each other up.
The fight was happening on the 100 block of Davis St.
When police arrived they not only found a fight, they also found two vehicles with major damage.
After a short investigation, two men were arrested. David Holder, 23 of Ava was booked on two charges of criminal damage to property, mob action and two outstanding warrants.
The other person arrested was Brent Compton, 17 and also from Ava. He was arrested and booked on charges of criminal damage to property, mob action and domestic battery.
Both men are being held in the Jackson County jail.
