Man stabbed in back several times Saturday morning

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested two people suspected in the stabbing a man in Sikeston early Saturday morning.
Police arrested a 42-year-old man and a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with the stabbing a 21-year-old man in the upper back several times.
The victim woke residents at 402 Sunset Saturday around 3 a.m. saying he had been stabbed, according to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.  The residents called police.
Officers believe the victim was chased, then stabbed near W. North and Sunset Streets.
The suspects were arrested just before 6 a.m.  Charges are pending.
The victim was treated at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau and released.  His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
