WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) - A Johnston City man faces drug charges after police say he distributed cocaine in West Frankfort and other surrounding communities.

Corey Beers, 18, faces three counts of unlawful delivery of cocaine.  Those charges were elevated to the level of a Class X felony because police say three alleged transactions with undercover officers took place within 1000 feet of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Frankfort.
West Frankfort Chief of Police Jeff Tharp says the investigation into Beers' alleged activities is ongoing and that further arrests are expected.
Beers faces six to 30 years in prison if convicted of the charges.
