Paducah woman indicted on theft charges

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A grand jury indicted a Paducah woman on theft charges that she stole nearly $15,000.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Keela Hobby, 34, admitted to pocketing client's money from Occunet where she used to work.
Hobby would pocket the clients money after they paid for a medical service, print out an invoice for the client, and then delete the invoice from the system, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.
Police say Hobby deleted more than 280 invoices in 2007 and 2008.
Hobby was indicted on one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking over $300 for 2007 and charged with another count of Theft by Unlawful Taking over $300 for 2008.
She could face up to 10 years in prison.
