Death investigation in Dunklin County

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - One man is dead and another is in jail for murder after the sheriff says the two Hornersville men had an altercation on Valentine's Day.

Richard L. Forrister, 20, faces 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action charges.
Adam Bradley Cockerham, 20, died at the Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas after he was stabbed, according to Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder.
The sheriff says Cockerham and Forrister got into an altercation on Main Street in Hornersville where Cockerham was stabbed.
Forrester is being held in the Dunklin County Justic Center in Kennett on $175,000 cash only bond.
The Dunklin County Sheriff's Officer, Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, Malden Police Department, Kennett Police Department, and Hornersville Police Department assisted with the investigation.
