Carbondale man faces murder charge

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - A Carbondale man faces murder and aggravated battery with a firearm charges after police say he shot and killed a Chicago man.

Carbondale police say 46-year-old Robert L. Ollie shot and killed 63-year-old James Banner from Chicago and shot a 29-year-old man from Carbondale.  His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police say happened around 9:14 p.m. in the 300 block of S. Crestview.  Police say both victims were acquaintances of Ollie and that the shooting happened after a personal dispute.
