Police say man cooked meth in front of kids

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Police arrested a man after he allegedly cooked meth in the presence of at least three chilrden.
William "Scott" Chamness, 34, faces several charges including manufacturing methamphetamine.
Police were called to Chamness's home in Creal Spring for reports of strong chemical odors coming from the house.
They found numerous items used to cook meth and several different types of gun ammunition.
According to police, three girls were taken into protective custody.  A fourth child, found outside the home, is also in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services.
Chamness was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
