Update: Claude Medlin, Marquand's chief of police, says one of the pumps has been fixed in Marquand and water has been restored.
MARQUAND, MO (KFVS) - People in the town of Marquand may be willing to pay plenty of cash just for a glass of water.
No one in town of 300 has water, and they've been out of water since Friday.
A city worker tells Heartland News one of Marquand's two water pumps broke down Friday.
The other one was already broken so crews have been scrambling since about 9 Friday morning, trying to figure out just what's going on.
Claude Medlin, Marquand's chief of police, says the freezing temperatures could have contributed to the pump breaking.
Crews are out Satuday working to fix the pump.
