SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested an Arnold man after they say he drove from Arnold to Benton, Missouri, thinking he was meeting a 14-year-old girl for sex.
Douglas Bone, 35, faces attempted statutory rape in the second degree, two counts of attempted sexual misconduct involving a child, and four counts of attempted enticement of a child.
Sheriff Rick Walter says Bone ended up meeting sheriff's deputies because the girl he thought he'd been chatting with on the internet was really an undercover investigator.
Bone was taken to jail on $25,000 cash bond.
