CARBONDALE, Ill. - A woman reported missing in August has been found safe in Mexico.
Carbondale Police say Kari Staros voluntarily went to Mexico.  Police say she is living in a small village there, teaching English.
Her brother had reported the SIU graduate student missing August 20, 2008 after she was last seen July 5, 2008.
The FBI and United States Consulate Offices in Monterrey and Matamoros, Mexico assisted Carbondale Police in the search for Staros.
Staros has since contacted her family by phone.
