CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - After announcing his 2010 retirement from the U.S. Senate, Senator Kit Bond will join local officials and leaders from southeast Missouri Saturday.
He's holding the conference in Cape Girardeau to thank them for their commitment and hard work.
The senator will also join members of the law enforcement community to thank them for their commitment to fighting meth-making in Missouri.
Bond will also call for continued cooperation on health care, the economy and other challenges faced by our nation and pledge to continue to work with local officials.
Senator Bond will be at the Rush Limbaugh Senior Federal Courthouse around 11 a.m. Saturday.
Meantime, Missouri Republican Rep. Jo Ann Emerson says she won't be among the candidates seeking to replace outgoing GOP Sen. Kit Bond.
