Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

METROPOLIS, Ill. - A traffic stop in Metropolis led to several drug arrests.

Police say they received a tip that a car was transporting a lot of illegal drugs.  After pulling the car over, police found 465 grams of marijuana and a gram of cocaine inside.

The driver, 18-year-old William Ulrich, faces several possession charges and one charge of intent to deliver.

His passenger, 18-year-old Marlena Triplett, faces a charge of posession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

After the traffic stop and investigation, police got a search warrant for a Metropolis home.

There they arrested 21-year-old Scott Sommer for possession of drug paraphernalia.
