CARBONDALE, Ill. - Two Southern Illinois Saluki basketball players leave the team just two months into the season.
Junior forward Christian Cornelius and Freshman guard Torres Roundtree have left the program.
Neither logged significant playing time this season. Roundtree was averaging just over 12 minutes a game and scored 1.3 points per game.
Roundtree came to SIU with high school teammate Anthony Booker.
Cornelius has spent most of his tenure with the Salukis on the sidelines recovering from injuries which forced him to set out the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.
This season Cornelius averaged nearly three points a game in just under 11 minutes.
