CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Locals can bring their antiques, coins and srap gold to the Super 8 and leave with a check, or at least that's what they hope while the Treasure Hunters' Road Show is in the Cape/Jackson area this weekend.
Show organizers set up shop this week inside the Super 8 conference room.  They're looking for: coins, paper money printed before 1934, gold coins, investment gold, scrap gold, jewelry, platinum, silver, war items, guns, trains, antique toys, advertisements and other older items.
"Bring in your items and we'll make you an offer if we're interested," said show manager Doug Feese.  "Then, nine times out of ten, you leave with some amount of money in hand."
Heartland News reminds consumers to check the value of your items online or through other sources before you make a barter.  There are several avenues available for this type of exchange.
Meantime, if you're interested in this, the Treasure Hunters Road Show continues Friday from 9 to 6 and Saturday 9 to 4 at the Super 8 Motel on North Kingshighway between Cape Girardeau and Jackson.
