BENTON, Mo. - Police arrested two suspects after an armed robbery a convenience store in Benton.

Police say Michael Schneider and Nicole Nichols robbed the Express Fuel on Hwy. 77 in Benton around 7:20 Wednesday night.

Police say Schneider entered the store with a revolver and demanding money.  A woman was waiting in a white car outside the station.  The two left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Several police agencies helped in the search.

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers found a white car traveling north at the 114 miler marker on Interstate 55.  Perryvile Police and the Perry County Sheriff's Department deployed spike strips which disabled the car.

A highway patrol trooper stopped the car with two people on I-55 at the 130 mile marker near Perryville.

Police say evidence at the scene led them to believe they were the same suspects from the robbery.

The suspects were taken to the Scott County Jail.

The suspects' vehicle was reported stolen from Andrew County on December 8th.

No one was injured in the robbery.
