Huge Fire at Dyersburg Warehouse

DYERSBURG, Tenn. - A huge fire in Dyersburg destroyed a portion of the old Bekaert Steel factory.
In recent years, it has been a warehouse used by several companies for storage.
The part of the building which went up in flames was being used by the Briggs and Stratton company to house lawmowers and engines.
The fire which was spotted by a passing motorist broke out around 10 Monday night.  It took a team of 60 firefighters about three hours to bring it under control.
Much of the building was empty but there was a small crew of workers inside.  The 700,000 square foot building is so big, the workers didn't realize it was ablaze until fire trucks arrived on the scene.  They all escaped without being hurt.  No word on a cause.
