Tornado Confirmed in Stoddard County

STODDARD COUNTY, Mo.-  The National Weather Service assessed the damage from a tornado just to the northeast of Essex in Stoddard County Wednesday afternoon. 
They confirmed that a strong EF1 tornado did touch down in the area Tuesday, packing winds up to 110 mph.  The tornado's path was about four miles long, 100 yards wide and lasted around five minutes. 
One house was completely destroyed, and a few others were damaged.  No one was killed or injured during the storm, but many were left picking up the pieces of the aftermath.  Everyone was in good spirits, and they were all very thankfull for the outflow of help from friends, family and neighbors.
