Mother of Lt. Gov. Kinder Dies

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - The mother of Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder has died at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Mary Frances Hunter Kinder was 81. The lieutenant governor's office announced her death today.
Mrs. Kinder was born in Benton and her family moved when she was 4 months old to Cape Girardeau.
After graduating from high school at age 16, she attended Christian College in Columbia and then received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland.
She is survived by four sons.
Funeral services are planned for Tuesday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Visitation goes from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday at the Centenary United Methodist Church.
