The Big Switch: Analog to Digital TV

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - With all sorts of converters and cables and new TV's to choose from, it can get pretty confusing.  One thing that's perfectly clear, on February 17, 2009, broadcast stations including KFVS12 will switch to digital.

"Your TV will probably still work," explained Greg Urhan, Merchandising Manager at Stereo One. "You just might have to purchase a converter box."

Uncle Sam will sell you one.  Click here to register for a $40 coupon.

If you watch Heartland News on a TV with rabbit ears or an antennae, then you'll need a converter box.  If you have a cable or satellite system, chances are your TV already has a converter.
