CARMI, Ill. (AP) - A southeast Illinois man accused of fatally shooting his wife and stepdaughter is to be tried early next year, with prosecutors planning to seek the death penalty.
Thirty-7-year-old Gary Pate has been found mentally fit to stand trial on two counts of first-degree murder in White County.
