DONIPHAN, Mo. - Burglars stole thousands of Xanax and hydrocodone from the Medical Center Pharmacy in Doniphan sometime between November 21st-23rd.
According to the Doniphan Police Department investigator, the burglar, or burglars, cut the electrical power to the building, disabling the alarm, and prying the door open.
Investigators say they have "people of interest" in the case and hope to solve the case soon.
Shortly after the Doniphan burglary, there were two attempted burglaries at local pharmacies, according to the Poplar Bluff Police Department.  Doniphan police say one attempt included similar techniques to ones used in the Doniphan burglary.  Nothing was taken from the Poplar Bluff pharmacies, and investigators do not know if the burglaries are connected.
