Man Faces Drug Charges After Death Investigation

IRON COUNTY, Mo. - The Iron County Sheriff's Department arrested a 59-year-old on drug charges.
According to the prosecutor, these charges stem from an different investigation into the deaths of two other people last Friday.
The county prosecutor charged Mitchell Barton with distributing a controlled substance two separate times.
This is a class B felony which means if convicted he could serve five to 15 years in prison.
He is not directly charged with anything involving the two deaths.
Barton's bail is $25,000 cash only.
At this time there is an active, ongoing criminal investigation.
