Police Investigate String of Thefts and Vandalism

PADUCAH, Ky. - Paducah police are investigating a string of thefts and vandalism at construction sites throughout the city. 
Four different incidents have occured at construction sites in the past week. 
About $1000 worth of damage was done to a 2001 Allis grader parked at a construction site on Starlite Drive.  A plate tamper worth $2300 was stolen from a construction site at North 13th and Jefferson streets.  Lumber worth $830 was stolen from a construction site on Sandpiper Circle.  Someone tried to break-in to a construction trailer at a job site on Lakewood Drive, causing $1900 worth of damage. 
Police do not know if the incidents are related.
