Airplane Lands After Engine on Fire

ST. LOUIS - Emergency responders extinguished an engine fire in an American Airlines MD-80 at Lambert Airport in St. Louis this afternoon.
Lambert spokesman Jeff Lea says there are no reports of injuries.
American Airlines flight 1400 took off from St. Louis at roughly 12:40 this afternoon heading to Chicago.
It reported engine problems and returned to St. Louis, landing at 1:40 p.m., where crews put out a fire in the left engine.
