MARION, Ill. - Heartland travelers will soon once again be able to catch flights to St. Louis.

Monica Taylor, sales & marketing director for Great Lakes Airlines, confirms Great Lakes will pick up where Regions Air left off and begin offering flights to St. Louis from Williamson County Regional Airport in Marion, Illinois.

Regions Air suspended flights to St. Louis from both Williamson County and Cape Girardeau Regional Airports earlier this year due to a dispute with the Federal Aviation Administration.

According to Taylor, flights will begin on Nov. 4, with two flights to St. Louis available Monday through Friday.  Taylor said the weekend flight schedule is still undetermined.

Customers can begin booking flights on Sunday, Sept. 23.

Flights to St. Louis from Cape Girardeau are still unavailable. However, Big Sky Airlines recently began offering flights from Cape to Cincinnati.

Flights leave from Williamson County at 6:07 a.m. and 1:43 p.m. and arrive in St. Louis at 6:45 a.m. and 2:21 p.m. respectively.

Flights leave St. Louis at 12:55 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and arrive in Williamson County at 1:33 p.m. and 8:08 p.m. respectively.
