CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - At 6'6 and a muscular frame, Principal Mark Kiehne towers over all the students at Cape Central Middle School.  Assistant Principal Rex Crosnoe jokes he looks a lot shorter at 6'0".

"If that helps with keeping things in order and improves good behavior, then that's great,"  said Crosnoe.

"I just wanted to let them know about the basics, like dress code, respect for others, and get them off to a good start,"  said Kiehne.

Kiehne came to Cape Middle as a principal at Kelly Junior High School, and says in his three years there, he helped improve test scores dramatically.  He hopes he can bring that same success to his new role at Cape Central Middle.
