Woman Pleads Guilty to Stealing Mail

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - A Cape Girardeau woman pleaded guilty to two felony counts of stealing mail Tuesday.
Jesica Ann Shaw, 34, faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.
Witnesses saw Shaw take mail from mailboxes at several businesses around Cape Girardeau on December 24, 2006.
Authorities found about 250 letters and other mail including Christmas cards with checks totaling to $37,870.60.
Shaw's sentencing is set for October 19, 2007.
