Storm Causes Damage in Saline County

HARRISBURG, Ill. - High winds during caused damage in parts of Saline County Friday afternoon .
Throughout Harrisburg large trees were uprooted while other trees were snapped in two. Downed power lines left parts of town without electricity for much of the afternoon.
The largest damage was concentrated near the Saline County Fairgrounds. The grandstand bleachers in the fairgrounds were destroyed by high winds.
A nearby business lost pieces of metal roofing from several smaller buildings. On the Bulldog Machinery grounds, an uprooted tree toppled over crushing a pickup truck in the parking lot.
