Doggie Dining By: Mike Shain & Heartland News staff
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - St. Louis has a new law allowing doggie dining, so Heartland News gathered opinions to see if those in the Heartland would favor a similar law.
Restaurants could decline to participate and pups would be restricted to patio dining.
"I think why not, you know. I eat with him in my kitchen so why not?" said Rose Depree a dog owner.
Cup 'n Cork in downtown Cape Girardeau already offers patio service to dog and master.
"We encourage people to bring their dogs. Now granted they can't be barking loudly and bothering others customers. But, we even provide you with a bowl of water for your dog," said Kim Robinson with Cup 'n Cork.
St. Louis' doggie dining law allows dogs to join their owners for patio dining at participating restaurants.
