Honoring Military Women

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - The Stars and Stripes Museum/Libraryy opened an exhibit on Women in the Military.
Navy Veteran Pat Carrier said she's pleased with the display.
"I donated several uniforms and other items," said Carrier. "I hope a lot of people come out to see it all."
Most people think of men serving in the military, especially in wars and conflicts decades ago, but that's not always the case.
"A group of WASP's flew dangerous missions over China during World War II, and they were all women,' explained museum curator Paul Arnold.
Arnold said he hopes the new exhibit will give people a different perspective about women's roles both in and out of the service during times of war.
