Dudman died Monday from his injuried in a St. Louis hospital.
Neighbors say the beating took place in Winchester's front yard at 1007 Midway Court in Marion.
Dudman was taken to St. Louis University hospital for treatment, but died Monday as a result of his injuries.
One neighbor said she didn't see the altercation, but woke up to flashing lights next door.
"There was a woman cop there," said neighbor Jamie King.  "They were taking pictures of his hands, I guess because they were busted up from whooping the guy."
Winchester made his first appearance in court Thursday.
His bond is set at $500,000.  He's scheduled to be back in court in July.
