String of farm thefts in Pemiscot County

PEMISCOT COUNTY, Mo. - The Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department is investigating a string of farm thefts in the county from the weekend.
According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, a radiator was taken from a farm near Peach Orchard and a power cord worth $4500 was stolen from another farm near Haywood.  A power unit at yet another farm was tampered with as well.

The department said it's seen an increase in farm thefts in the past year and a half.  The sheriff's department said vandals have damaged houses, vehicles, and anything where scrap metal, copper and aluminum can be located.
