HARRISBURG, Ill. - Police in Southern Illinois are investigating a rape case involving a 13-year-old girl and her adult boyfriend.
The girl's parent's filed sexual assault charges against her 18-year-old boyfriend after they questioned her about sneaking out of the house the other night.
The alleged sexual activity took place at a house on Harrisburg Lake.
Chief Deputy Todd Fort says the young girl gave her consent to her boyfriend for them to engage in sexual activity, but because of her age it's still a crime.
