CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - A couple of traffic signals will be turned off in Cape Tuesday morning.
AmerenUE will replace a transformer which supples power to the signals.  The work will start at 9 a.m. and is expected to last two hours.
The signals at the northbound on-ramp of Route K (William Street)/I-55 and Route K (William Street)/Farrar Drive will be affected.
Drivers are urged to use extreme caution in the area and take alternate routes when possible.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department will direct traffic while the work takes place.
