SEATTLE, Wa. --Rushing water opened a sinkhole in Seattle that swallowed two cars Wednesday morning. Seattle police say no one was injured in the incident.

A water main break under the University Bridge caused the sink hole. Seattle police are on the scene and say the cars were parked under the bridge when they were damaged by the water; no one was in the cars.

Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels says a 40-inch water main broke and the bridge will remain closed until it is determined to be safe. He says he's concerned the foundation of the bridge is being undermined.
