STODDARD COUNTY, Ill. - Tuesday's strong storms caused considerable damage in Stoddard County.    Sheriff Carl Hefner tells Heartland News two people were taken to the hospital.  This after a utility pole came crashing down on their car.
The strong winds and heavy rain toppled several power lines, knocked a delivery truck off the road, and forced law enforcement to close Highway 25 between Bernie and Dexter.
Highway 25 was reopened Wednesday morning, but there is still quite a bit of damage to clean up in the area.
