STODDARD COUNTY, Mo. - Heartland news has learned that a 13-year-old teenage boy has been arrested and charged with the murder of 64-year-old Donald E. McCullough of Dexter. According to the Stoddard County sheriff the teen was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
As we first reported Wednesday, McCullough died of gunshot wounds. Sheriff Hefner hopes more answers follow the autopsy on McCullough's body, which medical crews performed Wednesday Afternoon.
Even Thursday, Sheriff Hefner did not want to comment on the teenage suspect or a possible motive.

The shooting shocked some of McCullough's neighbors. "It is usually quiet out here," Greg Huff said. "It is surprising something like this would happen."

According to Sheriff Hefner, McCullough worked for a construction company out of Dexter.  He was also known for his long, white beard, which came down to the middle of his chest.
