Recall election scheduled today in Farmington

Farmington, MO - Voters get to make a decision Tuesday few have the opportunity to do in the middle of a leader's term;  they get to decide if their Mayor should be kicked out of office.
Tuesday's Missouri Primary includes a recall election in Farmington for Mayor Charles Rorex. Opponents began to spearhead the campaign back in March, after electric rates in town jumped 45% over a seven month period.
"[The Recall has] been tough on my family. I think it's embarrassing for the city," Rorex said.
Thousands of people signed the petition for the recall. Dean Bone is one of the organizers.
"It is a lot of work to recall a Mayor. A lot of meetings," Bone said. "We raised between five and six thousand dollars for the campaign."
According to St. Francois County Clerk Mark Hedrick, a turnout of between 52% and 55% is expected for Tuesday's elections throughout the County. He also says the absentee ballots for this election have almost surpassed what they get for a Presidential Election.
