Sikeston, MO - A bank robber makes an illegal withdrawal and gives back a deposit of his own.

It all happened around 3:30 Monday afternoon in Sikeston, at the First MidWest Bank.

Captain Mark Crocker with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells Heartland News, a white male walked into the bank, demanded money, left with some cash, and left behind a suspicious package and a threat.

That's when the Sikeston DPS and the Southeast Missouri Bomb Squad sprang into action.    A Bomb Squad member and the specialized robot carefully examined the scene, and the robot eventually blew up the package.  No explosives were inside.

The robber is described as a white male, five seven to five ten, with a medium build, dark hair and a goatee.  He was wearing a long sleeve button up shirt with a dark shirt underneath and dark long pants.   He was also wearing a dark cap with a logo on the front.
