Late Monday afternoon the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau announced that filming of the movie "Killshot" will be postponed until January in Cape Girardeau.

News Release:

Filming for Killshot Postponed Until Early January

Due to filming delays inToronto, Canada, the portion of Killshot to be filmed in Cape Girardeau has been postponed until early January.   Originally filming in Cape Girardeau was set for December 19th through the 23rd.  The tentative date for filming has now been moved to January 9th through the 12th.

“Actually we’re viewing this rescheduled shoot as a real positive,” said Chuck Martin, Executive Director of the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau.  “With the new schedule we will not disrupt the very busy Christmas shopping season for the merchants in our historic downtown area.”

In addition, local residents who applied to be extras can expect to be notified sometime between January 3rd and the 6th as to whether they have been selected by the casting director.  Due to the extremely large number of applicants, only those residents selected to participate in the film will receive notification.
