orce say a routine traffic stop helped put the brakes on a multi-state drug operation.

new meaning to the phrase,

there's no honor among thieves.
"

nvestigators
used a hidden camera to watch as two suspects exchanged marijuana;
just the evidence they needed
to
put a serious dent in a drug operation stretching all the way from

aso,

exas to

loomington,

llinois.

"We believe one of the suspects has ties to Southeast MIssouri, so he could have been dropping off some drugs here," Sgt. Kevin Glaser, who heads the Task Force says.

ut investigators were in for a surprise.

hey found marijuana valued at more than

in the couple's car, along with the woman's ten month old baby.

illagomez, decided to cooperate with investigators.

"That type of cooperation helps because those individuals typically don't deal with someone they're not familiar with," he explains.

ut
even though all suspects are now being held in the Scott County Jail, and the baby handed over to family services, G
laser says the investigation is far from over.

decline in methamphetamine labs compared to last year,

hopes to focus his efforts on fighting other drugs

like marijuana.

"We just have to stay on top of it all," he says.
