Teen in Custody after School Shooting

FARMINGTON, MO --  Farmington Police have a 17-year old in custody after a student brought and gun and fired it inside Farmington High School.  The gun was fired shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.  According to the Farmington Police Department, the gun was fired in one of the school's bathrooms.  No one was hurt.
Police say Josh Minks brought a shotgun gun to school in three pieces.  He then assembled the gun in the bathroom and fired a shot towards the ceiling.  A school administor heard the gun shot and was able to calm Minks until police arrived.
Minks is being charged with four counts of felony assault while on school property and one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon.
Police conducted room to room searches after the building was evacuated.  Students were taken across the street to the civic center.  Students were led back into the school and classes resumed by noon.
